Chester Green Weekend is back for a second time after a hugely successful 2024 event.

Chester Green Weekend is a vibrant, eco-conscious Sustainable Festival set in Chester’s beautiful city centre, blending history, nature, and innovation to showcase how we can live more sustainably. The festival, held over a weekend, is designed to engage the entire community and attract visitors from near and far.

Opening Times

Town Hall and Exchange Square – stalls here will be open 10.00am to 4.30pm each day. See What’s On for more information.

Dean’s Field – stalls here will be open from 11.00am to 5.00pm each day. See What’s On for more information.

Chester Green Weekend is a celebration of our commitment to sustainability with a series of unique local events, workshops and happenings across the city over one weekend this June.

Chester Green Weekend is also part of the national Great Big Green Week.

We want to shine the light on Chester to show it as a leading sustainable hub for the Northwest and bring residents along with us on a journey to make small changes to support a lower impact future.

Think ‘lots of fun activities taking place around Chester City Centre over one weekend in June (7th and 8th June) with an underlying aim of raising the awareness of what we can all do to tackle the climate and nature emergency.
The event will be free of charge so anyone can attend, they will be able to get involved in activities, workshops, walks, stalls, food and entertainment will be taking place throughout the City.

We want the event to part of Chester annual calendar in collaboration with lots of organisations, businesses and community groups in the city.
